CV:

Dr. Schendel received his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Minneapolis in 1973. He made his four years residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

1979-1980 Dr. Schendel was a member of honour at the University of Nantes.

Afterwards he practiced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Honolulu, Hawai and graduated from the Medical University of Hawai in 1983. He made his residency in General Surgery at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. After finishing his residency in General Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center Dr. Schendel completed a program in Plastic Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center.

Presently Dr. Schendel is Professor of Surgery at the Stanford University. He is also the Chief of Plastic Surgery Service, Department of Surgery at the Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and Director of the Craniofacial Anomalies Center at Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.

Dr. Schendel is Co-Founder and Director of Stanford-NASA National Biocomputation Center, Stanford, CA

Major surgical interests of Dr. Schendel are craneofacial and maxillofacial surgeries, including facial surgery. Having the certificates in oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as in the plastic surgery Dr. Schendel is member of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
