Dr. Rosa Peraita-Adrados is responsible of the Sleep Disorders and Epilepsy Unit at the Clinical Neurophysiology Department of the General University Hospital Gregorio Marañón, in Madrid.
Dr. Peraita-Adrados trained in sleep pathology in the Sleep Disorders Clinic at University of Stanford, California, (1975) and in the INSERM U29 Port-Royal Hospital, Paris (1976).
She worked at the “Centre Saint-Paul”, Aix-MarseilleUniversity (1973), and at the Neurological Institute of Montreal (1994), where she completed her clinical and neurophysiological training in Epilepsy.
Dr. Peraita-Adrados has authored numerous works on the physiology and pathology of sleep and epilepsy in infants, children and adults, and has been involved in numerous clinical research projects.
She was a co-founder of the Iberian Association of Sleep Pathology and has served at the society as Vice-President, President and Past President. Vice-President of the Sleep-Wakefulness Foundation in Spain (1998-2003). Member of the European Sleep Research Society and of the Scientific Committee since 2002 as well as member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Sleep Research.
