Dr. Hohenhorst finished his medicine studies in Essen, Germany in 1985.

In 1986 he became Doctor in Pulmonology.

He worked as assistant of the Clinic for Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Alfried Krupp Hospital between 1985 and 1987.

In the years 1988 and 1992 he was assistant of the ENT Clinic – plastic surgery Alfried Krupp Hospital.

He became medical specialist of Otorhinolaryngology in 1992.

Head of the section of Facial Plastic Surgery and Interventional Sleep Medicine at the Alfried Krupp Hospital and is since 2007 Head of the ENT department, facial plastic surgery and operative sleep medicine at the Clinic St. Antonius in Wuppertal.

Dr. Hohenhorst is member of numerous scientific societies.
