CLIMATE AND GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF SAN SEBASTIÁN, GUIPÚZCOA
The province of Guipúzcoa is located in northern Spain on the Bay of Biscay. It has a modern road network, a railway system connecting the main cities throughout Spain and Europe, and airports near the three Basque capital cities: Hondarribia (outside of San Sebastián), Loiu (Bilbao) and Foronda (Vitoria) with domestic and international flights.

The coast is dotted with traditional fishing villages and the hinterland offers some very interesting historic sites including the Sanctuary of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and the Virgin of Arantzazu. Visitors will also want to take a side trip to Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum with its collection and temporary displays by some of the finest names in contemporary art.
