Dr. Terán received his degree in Medicine from the University of Cantabria in 1981 and his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Valladolid.

Presently Dr. Terán is Coordinator of the Sleep Unit of the Pneumology Service of the Assistance Complex in Burgos.

Dr. Terán received more than 30 prizes for investigation.

Speaker of multiple national and international conferences.

Director of 11 national courses about respiratory sleep disorders, diagnostic and treatment.

Member of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Neumology and Thoracic Surgery Society since 2001.
